Receptionist Northallerton £14,000 - £18,000 My Client is a leading national law firm with 14 offices staffed by lawyers devoted to providing a professional and modern experience on a comprehensive range of legal services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary/Office Assistant to join our Watford office within the Residential Conveyancing Team. L egal Secretary Day to Day duties; Act in a timely and professional manner with clients, referrers, insurers, colleagues and all others with whom you come in to contact during the course of your work. Develop strong relationships with them and maintain professional standards at all times. To administer new matter data input to the Redbrick and Pinpoint Case Management Systems and running all related searches and checks through in house and external databases as required. Act as telephonist and receptionist for callers to the office in accordance with the Office Manual, providing such communication in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the practice’s standards for client care. Prepare documents for fee earners as required, which may include photocopying and maintain appropriate filing both electronically and hard copy, ensuring the confidentiality of all practice and client documentation and information. Make appointments and arrange meetings when required and maintain up-to-date diaries for fee earners in electronic and hard copy (Office Diary) formats as defined in the Office Procedures Manual. Prepare the conference room for meetings as necessary and ensure that it is clear and tidy at the end of the meeting and to provide refreshments when asked to do so for clients or other visitors. Undertake any specific training when required to do so both internal and external and take responsibility for own self-development. Provide assistance to other members of the fee-earning and support team as required. Prepare mail and enclosures for despatch including franking, taking to post office if required or arranging collection by courier. Assist with stationery stock control and replenishment. Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be reasonably required by the firm in the execution of its business. Be pro-active at annual appraisals and throughout the year.
