Overview
Morgan Hunt are delighted to be assisting a London based education and training provider with the recruitment of a Director of Finance And Resources. The Director of Finance and Resources requires an ambitious and highly motivated individual to join the Senior Management Team. This education and training provider operating across London and the wider South East and is a grade 2 Ofsted provider Reporting to the CEO and serving as an integral member of the Senior Management Team, the Director of Finance and Resources will be responsible for the development of financial management and contribute to the development of the organization's strategic goals. This includes transition to a new group structure and harmonizing financial and other back office services. Leading the Financial and Resources Team the post holder will be responsible for the overall financial management of the provider and its subsidiaries and the line management of the associated ICT, MIS, HRM, and Premises. A key aspect of this role would initially be leading Financial and Resources through change and adapting core services to meet new strategic aims. The role will include the regular review, development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures to support the needs of the organisation and demanded by the funding environment. As Director of Finance and Resources you will be required to report timely, accurate and relevant information to management, our Finance & Risk Committee and the full board. This role is a proactive and diverse but highly rewarding. Essential Criteria: ü CIMA / ACCA /CPA qualified ü Minimum 3 years' experience in a Senior Management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth service delivery organization ü Familiarity with non-profit finance and accounting regulations is an advantage. ü Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization ü Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills ü Proficient user of IT including accounting software, MS Office, MIS spreadsheets and databases. ü Excellent numeracy and literacy skills ü Excellent customer facing skills. ü Experience of liaison with internal and external stakeholders. ü Experience of Government funding audit and compliance processes. ü Experience of implementing performance management systems. ü Experience of managing contractual partnership provision in FE environment.
