Overview
My client is a fast growing FinTech firm and, due to rapid growth, we are expanding our technical, client facing and sales teams. We have a unique workplace culture that encourages innovation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an extremely motivated and dynamic start-up environment. We build and provide trade analysis software to investment banks, hedge funds and asset managers. The web based platform relies upon advanced analytics running on cutting edge software. They they are looking for a talented developer to work on a new greenfield project for there market data team . You must have developed in either C# / C++ or Java and have strong exposure to FpML - This person will run a spin off project from the Market data team on how they can utilise FpML or its premise to do their own exciting tasks , it would be your own Greenfield project . Amazing development teams , very creative and academic . I Successful candidate will have a solid background in software engineering/computer science, with some experience of software development in a professional environment. Ideally they would be familiar with .NET framework / C#, although at a push this wouldn’t be a deal breaker for an otherwise exceptional candidate (who was experienced in another Object Oriented language). They must be capable of independent project work and driving forward a project single-handedly. Since we are still a relatively small firm, this will entail gathering requirements directly from stakeholders, analysing the best solution to the problem faced and implementing and testing it - so is suited to someone who wants to improve their skills across a range of challenges rather than do pure coding 100% of the time based on detailed technical specs. Provide new support channels our clients, identify CRM issues early, and capitalise on new revenue opportunities with them. Produce tools to allow at-a-glance graphical oversight of our entire cloud-based infrastructure and overnight batch status, drill into any issues, etc. Automate our backup/recovery/DR/housekeeping processes for business continuity and GDPR compliance. Provide management tools to senior management to allow them to forecast cashflows, sales growth, spend. Continually improve our internal and external security posture, preparing us for ISO27001 and SOC2 certification. Renew our overnight batch running infrastructure, developing a scalable and highly customisable platform for our global expansion. Produce systems to manage our human and technical resources.
