POSITION: Children’s Residential Support Worker SALARY: £21,136 - £24,508 (Grading 1 – 3, up to 8 x sleep-ins/month £52.50/sleep-in). The role: Supporting children & young people aged 11 – 17 to overcome disadvantage and achieve short- or longer-term goals. Facilitating individual and group activities and other positive social development opportunities. Attending the home (including occasional residential camps & activity pursuits) as per rota requirements (08.00am – 17.00pm – 23.00pm). Acting as a Keyworker, supporting young people and promoting their care and welfare needs. Supporting necessary administration, including daily recordings and other regularised reports or meetings where required. Working with relevant agencies (Local Authority, Education, Police, YOT etc). Adhering to all Company policies and procedures. Participating in training as arranged by the Company. Ensure the security of the building or associated accommodation. The ideal candidate: Essential requirements – Resilience and professional working ethos Drive and determination to improve outcomes for vulnerable young people Ability to, or experience of working with children and/or teenagers Enjoy or have a passion for education activity & the outdoors Appointments subject to satisfactory Disclosure & Barring clearance & min 2 employment references Good verbal and written communication skills Full UK or EU driving licence (ideal 12 months ) Age 22 (occupational requirement) Eligible to work in UK Desirable requirements (not essential as training provided)- Suitable transferable skills from previous roles Knowledge & experience of the management of behaviour that challenges Relevant qualifications e.g. NVQ 3, Health & Social Care etc Ability to understand and contribute to care planning and other regulated activities.
