IT Support Analyst required in Darlington, offering a salary of £18,000 to £22,000 per annum. The Position of IT Support Analyst: The IT Support Analyst will be focused on the provision of first line support to Technocopy's IT Managed Service customers providing effective, friendly IT assistance via telephone & remote access, following it through to ticket resolution within the clients Service Level Agreement (SLA). This role will expose the IT Support Analyst to all aspects of IT including but not limited to: VMware, Hyper V Hardware fault finding & diagnoses Windows Server & Client operating systems Active Directory Microsoft Exchange - hosted and on-premise Office 365 Anti-virus Backups Supporting & Configuring VPN / Firewalls Hosted Voip Responsible to: IT Manager IT Support Consultant Duties / Area of responsibility: The position will involve the following areas of responsibility: Taking, logging and resolving Helpdesk calls within customer's SLA Providing telephone and remote support to diagnose and resolve technical issues Escalating IT issues to the IT Manager where necessary Ensuring Helpdesk software is updated with appropriate information in a timely manner Contribution to developing the Helpdesk system such as creating Knowledge Based Articles Pro-actively monitoring and management of supported networks using in house Remote Monitoring & Management Software Assisting IT Support Manager with tasks as instructed for new IT projects and installations Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops Installing authorised software to laptops and desktops Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops Fault finding laptops and desktops Setting up and configuring new servers Installing authorised software to servers Ensuring patches and upgrades are applied to servers Fault finding to servers Exchange server mailbox maintenance including archiving mailboxes The Ideal IT Support Consultant: The successful candidate will have worked in an IT Support Role with at least 3 years commercial experience in a 1st line and possibly with some 2nd line experience. The role would suit someone looking to build on their current experience and further their technical knowledge as well as being focused on providing an outstanding customer experience. The individual must have excellent communication skills ensuring the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times.
