We are looking for a Registered Mental Health / RMN or Learning Disability Nurse / RNLD, with a passion for delivering the best quality of care, to join us at our Acuteacute mental health inpatientservice in Darlington. You will be working 42 hours per week at Cygnet Victoria House. Cygnet Victoria House is a 25 bed acute mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Your Day-to-Day... Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines Why Cygnet? Essential: Experience as a Registered Nurse Mental Health / RMN or Learning Disability / RNLD with a current Pin Number The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits and demonstrate integrity in your role A good understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and latest nursing practices A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage and reduce risk Compassion, resilience and a dedication to empower and support service user independence Desirable: The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role An interest in leadership, research and assessment Experience on an acute ward / service Cygnet Health Carehas been providing a national network of high quality specialist mental health services for 30 years. Cygnet Victoria Houseis25 bed acute mental health inpatient service for men. The ethos of our service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community. Location: Victoria House is located on the right hand side of Barton Street from Haughton Road. Reception is straight ahead from the entrance. * Near several exits from all motorways to Darlington. From the South, North, East and West. The nearest railway Station is Darlington, then only ten minutes journey to Victoria House by taxi, there is also a bus to Darlington town centre the number 2, then get the number 9 which will drop you onto Haughton road then a 5 minute walk to Victoria House in Barton Street.
