ETL Developer with experience of Enterprise Data Wharehouse, Wherescape Development / Snowflake and Datavolt We have a ETL Developer role available for one of our Blue Chip Clients, skills required : The Lead ETL Developer will manage and mentor a team of data engineers and take a hands on approach to ensure the on-boarding, ingestion, modelling, storage, transformation and delivery of data continues to meet the needs of the insight developers, analysts, data scientists and end users. Whilst working within a defined framework, the Data Design Lead will ensure all standards are being adhered to, and the end solution meets the customer needs for quality, reliability, suitability and timeliness. This role will also take full ownership of the design, management, governance and maturity of enterprise data warehouse environment to transform and enhance the data management and analytical capabilities. This role sits within the Data Management Team and reports to the Head of Data Management Skills required : Lead the design, development and build of all ELT and ETL models, processes, and standards for the Enterprise Data Warehouse Mentor, train and coach internal staff in best practices and approaches to delivering am Enterprise Data Warehouse Establishing and operate effective governance over the development of solutions to ensure the end products are in-line with the Information Management Strategy, the IT Strategy and the technology road map Ensuring recognised industry best practices are implemented for design, development, testing, releasing and management of all data warehouse products Ensure the product inventory of all data warehouse solutions is kept up to date and accurate Developing complete, accurate and precise data solutions as per customer requirements Successful line management, mentoring and development of up to 5 direct reports within the Data Design Team Developing and managing SLAs in line with agreed targets and outcomes Production and validation of estimates and quotes for the delivery of solutions Ensuring productive planning activities are undertaken to handle a data design workbook, and workloads are effectively managed Regular design and functional reviews of the data warehouse environment to ensure new technologies and techniques are incorporated in to standard procedures Additional Skills required: The ideal candidate will have skills and capabilities in the following areas; Data warehouse design concepts and standards including DV2.0 Understanding business needs and converting them into requirements that can be delivered Advanced skills in interpreting and debugging PL/SQL Data modelling techniques for both Kimball and Inmon methodologies Managing workloads and supervising resources accordingly Designing, modelling, and building ETL and ELT processes using WhereScape Constructing processes and controls for end to end development processes Different testing practices and concepts and their implementation Essential skills Extensive WhereScape configuration and development from the ground up Experience with developing WhereScape using SnowFlake Building a Data Vault 2.0 within WhereScape Demonstrable experience of managing people in multi-disciplinary teams Strategic thinker with the ability to convert ideas into practise Enhanced written and oral communication skills Ability to build strong support networks across the MCS organisation and with external partners / suppliers Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required or Master of Science in Business Analytics/Data Analytics preferred Strong understanding of SQL and ability to troubleshoot data issues Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
