Overview
Bonfire Engineering Recruitment is retained in the recruitment of an Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of electrical power engineering for its EPC engineering client based in Derbyshire, UK. Responsibilities for this elecrtical role includes: Design a control panel on AutoCAD electrical or similar Define the electrical power engineering scope of works for projects and proposals including single line diagrams, load schedules, electrical schematics, terminal layouts, loop drawings, panel GA drawings, panel design calculations, protection and overload calculations Complete plant electrical design on electrical design software such as Amtech or similar Create a Bill of Materials, reports & electrical equipment data sheets, cable routing and cable sizing calculations & specifications Manage and maintain the production of drawings, site electrical operation & maintenance manuals and additional documentation as required. Check accuracy, completeness and fitness of all such documentation from third-party designers and provide electrical engineering input to assist project engineers in specifying supplier document requirement lists Provide electrical engineering review, comment and approval of supplier documentation Generate the full suite of electrical power engineering inclusive of load lists, cable schedule, single line diagrams, material take offs, etc. issued for construction documents Take ownership of interface requirements with the clients electrical scope Be the focal point for the electrical and instrumentation resource Preffered Candidate: Time Served / Qualified Engineer within an industry recognised qualification Demonstrable electrical design experience, ideally in an EPC environment Preparation and understanding of technical reports and documentation to a high level of detail and accuracy Strong communicator (written and verbal) Capable of liasing & managing when appropriate with vendor, subcontractors, project teams and Engineering teams This is an excellent hands on role that is perfectly suited for a qualified engineer who will be given the autonomy to take onwership of their own electrical design space.
