Overview
Creative Support is a national not-for-profit organisation which is looking to recruit warm and person centred individuals in the Grimsby area to provide the highest standards to service users with autism and learning disabilities. We have a strong history of twenty five years in helping individuals with a wide range of needs to live independent and fulfilling lives. As part of this commitment we require dedicated, highly motivated and warm staff to provide very focused and intensive support to a young man with autism and a high level of self injurious behaviour. The young man lives in his own self contained apartment in the grounds of another service. You will be joining a team of people who know the young man very well and who are working in partnership with the Intensive Support Team in Grimsby. The role is to support him to manage his own behaviour and to live a full and enjoyable life becoming as independent as he can and reach his full potential. The young man has his own car so ability to drive will be an advantage. This is an exciting, dynamic and challenging role, working alongside other staff at all times; this is a real opportunity to make a difference Previous experience is not essential but is an advantage, full training will be provided.
