Group Quality Engineer
Overview
The Special Steel Group of Companies is headquartered in Sheffield England, with additional operations in North America. The Group consists of 6 independent businesses covering multiple disciplines from Forging, Heat Treatment, Testing, Machining and global distribution of advanced nickel based alloys & special steels. The need has arisen to appoint a Group Quality Engineer to work within our busy quality department and support the team in developing and maintaining our extensive range of approvals. The candidate will preferably be experienced within a steel / engineering environment, typically encompassing one or more of the following disciplines: heat treatment, mechanical and metallurgical testing, forging or steel stockholding. You will have a comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and any familiarity with Nadcap heat treatment accreditation requirements would be a distinct advantage although not vital. Auditing to the above standards, developing root cause analysis and supporting Management in the continuous improvement programmes will be key requirements of the post.
