Group Management Accountant
Overview
Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a successful and well-established distribution business in Sheffield as they look to strengthen their team with an experienced and motivated Group Management Accountant. The purpose of the role is to provide management accounting and strategic support, information and interpretation as an essential component of managing the business effectively and profitably. To support the drive for commercial development and continuous performance improvement through the provision, analysis and interpretation of data. To support the wider Group Finance team as required. Duties & Responsibilities: - Maintenance of head office general ledgers, ensuring more complex transactions (FX, financial derivatives, provisions etc.) are correctly accounted for and documented. - Engaging directly with Group entities in the UK and Europe to ensure consistent and accurate monthly financial and management reporting - Monthly reconciliation of Group intercompany accounts - Produce high quality and accurate balance sheet reconciliations - Group insurance renewal and recharge - Supporting the other Group Finance functions (Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury) - Manage requests from external auditors - Other ad hoc projects as required To be considered for this role, the successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes: - - Be a fully-qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) - Be articulate and able to present financial information clearly, confidently and concisely both verbally and in written reports - Be able to plan and prioritise multiple tasks to meet challenging deadlines - Be confident, able to work independently and motivated to develop their abilities - Be a good team player and able to form and develop strong relationships both within the business and with external advisers - Have excellent analytical skills - Have a good eye for detail This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking team offering a competitive salary that will include pension and the option to participate in the company's Share Incentive Plan.
