Role: Senior OAT Analyst Client: Government Agency Location: Birmingham Duration: Initially 3 Months contract - likely to extend Rate: £400/day Note: Must be eligible for SC Clearance THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a senior OAT Analyst to work for a Government client in Birmingham. You will work on a variety of Cloud led transformation projects, across a variety of Central Government & National Security based projects. The role will enable you to use your OAT experience across many large-scale projects and to become part of a community of OAT specialists in order to develop your skills and to mentor and develop others. Due to the nature of the projects, you will be required to be eligible for and to go through the Government Security Clearance process. ROLE OVERVIEW The role of a Senior OAT Analyst will be varied and challenging; Developing complex technical or programme/project level approaches within the technical specialism. Undertaking a range of technical assurance activities. Responsible for OAT design and execution Coordinating the design and execution of testing using appropriate tooling and environments Leadership and development of a small team of OAT Analysts where required Contributing to reporting and defect management where required. TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Experienced at leading OAT from a Programme and Project level and setting the overall approach in alignment with the broader OAT strategy An experienced Senior OAT Analyst who has a wide breadth of experience across multiple OAT projects and who possesses a high level of experience in the following key areas; o Resilience Testing o Deployment, o Backup and Restore o Monitoring & Alerting o Logging & Auditing o System Start up and Shutdown o Archiving and Purging o Support (Procedural) o Trends & Analytics o System Security Experience of OAT as a part of Product launches, Disaster Recovery, Data Centre Build Out or Migrations A mixture of hands on Testing of Networks so a mixture of technical skills that may include Linux Systems, Virtual Machines, AWS, Azure, Cloud Migrations Useful experience with End User Computing Migrations (Windows 7 or 10, Office365) or Enterprise wide Software Upgrades Any previous consultancy experience a bonus SKILLS: Communication - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal to engage with a variety of business stakeholders. Influence - Working at programme/project, sprint & team level, with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Leadership and Teamwork - Where necessary, overseeing a small team of technical analysts who are developing and running tests or conduction assurance activities. Reporting to lead analysts, programme/project managers or delivery owners. Eager to take on new challenges to develop the service by developing others, contributing to the managed test practice.
