Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Assurance Manager, Lead or Project Engineer with a background in system testing and application verification, to be an integral part of the success of a major nationwide £500m Radio and Control Room upgrade to all Ambulance Service Trusts across the UK, providing technical support, assistance and be the primary interface between the Programme, in life BAU team and the delivery of any new services or system modifications and upgrades. Home based with UK travel, with all out of home costs fully expensed. £44,606 to £50,819 plus NHS benefits inc. 27% Pension. The post holder will be responsible for providing expert technical input and support to Ambulance Trusts on related programmes and the associated technical system dependencies along with other elements of in life service. In addition, the post holder will be responsible, at an individual system level, for ensuring thorough performance of system design and function against pre-specified design documentation and test scripts. The Technical Assurance Manager will: Lead, plan and undertake system testing events in conjunction with system suppliers and users. Events may be structured between system module testing at a reference site to live system testing in a mission critical Trust environment where there is a requirement for a high degree of accuracy and no margin for error. Support the Programme Managers and Regional Service Manager's and Implementation managers in the delivery and technical assurance of Service Delivery products, in regard to suppliers, managing any contingency plans as required. Understand the technical solutions and services provided and impact of operational events on the services (i.e. incidents, problems, changes, releases) supporting operational activities as required. The Technical Assurance Manager will have demonstrative experience of: Demonstrable evidence of operating in a test management capacity on large multi-faceted system projects that relate to at least one development area such as; critical systems in a control room or clinical environment, telecommunications, or NHS IT delivery. Experience of operating as in a lead capacity within a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency project, with associated interpersonal skills & able to develop and maintain effective and credible relationships with business leaders and supplier management Experience of producing summary reports, technical papers & assessments for a range of groups from senior management to non-technical audiences In return you will receive a competitive salary of £44,606 to £50,819 depending on experience plus generous NHS benefits inc. 27% Pension and 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and additional leave over Christmas).
