Overview

What is the overall purpose of the job? As a Radiographic Assistant you will ensure the smooth running of the working day by receiving and preparing the patients for their procedure. You will complete administrative tasks within the department and provide clinical and clerical support to the practitioners. You will contribute to effective and efficient patient care being delivered and maintain a safe clinical environment in line with the Company’s Health and Safety and Infection Control. What are the key responsibilities of the role? Welcome patients and their carers or relatives to the clinic in a professional manner Act as patient advocate at all times; ensure the privacy and dignity of each patient Ensure the smooth running of the working day by receiving and preparing the patients for their procedure Complete the patient’s pre-scan data protection form/consent form (where applicable) Escort patients to and from the clinical area as required Assess and monitor patient condition after procedures ensuring any changes are reported to the relevant staff Accurately enter patient data into the patient management system What skills and experience will you need to apply? Proven experience working in a Customer Service environment The ability to work independently and as part of a multi skilled team Up to date CPR qualification (optional) Good listening skills with an ability to present information in a logical manner Ability to follow instructions and be a team player The department is currently open between 08:00 - 19:00, Monday - Saturday, with the requirement to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as required, therefore you should be prepared to work flexibly within these times in order to meet the requirements of the department.
