Overview
Customer Service Assistant THE COMPANY We have a great opportunity working for a client based in York with on-site parking. This is a role within the customer service department. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING As our first point of contact you will be required to advise and update our Customers proactively on the status of their orders while maintaining internal visual management systems in order to effectively communicate their need to the wider business. - Identifying and assess customer needs to ensure that they are fully satisfied by sharing any feedback given to the correct departments - Ensuring customer enquiries are investigated and resolved in a timely and efficient manner - Providing both routine and proactive customer updates advising of any changes to delivery - Maintaining thorough and accurate customer service records on the system - Hosting and supporting customer conference calls discussing all aspects of both existing and potential orders - Attending daily meetings to discuss the flow of orders through the supply chain - Participating in the Companies continuous improvement activities YOU MUST - A proven ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues - Strong written and verbal communication skills along with a positive attitude - Experience and understanding of computer systems with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook - Ability to work under pressure whilst managing own time and using own initiative and meeting strict deadlines - A manufacturing background is preferred, but not essential - Flexibility to adapt to any changes in business requirements WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? £18K Salary Monday to Friday office hours Free on-site parking 23 days holiday bank holidays Charterhouse Recruitment (Yorkshire) Ltd is committed to a policy of equal opportunities in relation to job applications.
