Overview
VennGroup German-speaking Financial Controller Position – Bank, City of London Venn Group are currently recruiting for a permanent Financial Controller to work within a bank in the City of London. We are searching for a candidate with demonstrable knowledge of, and experience working in, the Financial Services sector, so prior banking experience is a prerequisite to be successful in this role. It is essential that the candidate be either ACCA / ACA qualified. The role would be greatly benefited by fluency in German. The ideal candidate will be required to input and maintain sound legislative and regulatory practices across the bank its respective entities, specifically tracking adherence to legal and regulatory standards, mitigating and solving any issues in an autonomous fashion. Standard financial reporting to regulators and similar authorities will be routine and required on both a regular and ad hoc basis. Maintenance of cohesive communication and an ability to compile complex information concisely is also required, such as monthly P&L, incident reports, and non-compliance. Other responsibilities will include monitoring various accounts, escalating issues to appropriate teams as required, managing daily balance sheets, and liaising with tax advisers on such issues.
