Overview

Accounts Receivable - Perm - City of London My client a business services firm are looking for an accounts receivable accountant to join their finance team. This role will primarily be billing as opposed to heavily credit control focused, with the ideal candidate having had 3-5 years' experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have experience of an accounts receivable role which they have completed independently. This role would not suit someone who has previously been only in a supportive or assisting role. Responsibilities: Day to Day processing and allocating of cash Contact clients and liaise with the Collections team, to ensure unidentified receipts are worked on Timely and accurate recording of payments returned to clients outside Responding to queries from the Collections & Billing teams Assist in analysis of aged items and on-account payments to ensure open-items are identified and closed out Identifying and working through areas for improvement and increased automation Assist as required with the month-end Bank processes Participating in the financial close process including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations Responding to audit queries. Able to contact clients regarding debt/money owed Someone who can help more junior members of the team with work (not an official supervisor role, and candidate will not manage or have direct reports but may have some elements in support) Personal attributes: Part qualified/Qualified AAT, or someone who is looking to start studying.
