Overview
My client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join a high-profile organisation on the outskirts of Edinburgh (West). You’ll be instrumental to the success of the finance team and the overall organisation. Responsibilities include: Developing systems to ensure improvements to accounting procedures Responsibility for preparing standard product costings Variance analysis and profit evaluation Assisting with month end process and preparation of monthly board pack Preparing budgets and forecasts Carrying out analysis of investments Reporting on inventory Identifying cost savings and reporting on inefficiencies Directly managing one individual in the finance team Liaising with auditors Person specification: Qualified accountant Manufacturing experience Understanding and experience of profit evaluation and improvements Can-do personality with an analytical mind In return, a generous benefits package is on offer.
