The Reporting Team in Business Finance Services (BFS) are responsible for delivering robust end to end financial reporting processes for Standard Life Assurance Limited. Following the transfer of Standard Life Assurance Limited to the Phoenix Group, it is a challenging and interesting time for the Reporting Team who are integrating and developing various IFRS and regulatory reporting processes post transfer. Joining Finance you'll be part of a team driven to excellence in terms of pace, efficiency and delivering meaningful financial information for Standard Life Assurance Limited to executives and senior management. You will have the opportunity, and be expected to, influence thinking across the business and drive positive process improvements and change whilst building relationships with colleagues. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven accountant to join the team and continue to develop and improve the accounting and reporting processes. Is it an exciting opportunity to understand the numbers and develop skills, gaining experience in preparing a variety of financial and regulatory returns for both internal and external stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare IFRS group submissions for specified subsidiary companies, ensuring compliance with Group requirements. * Prepare annual statutory accounts for a range of subsidiary entities. * Develop an understanding of the detailed accounting for the transactions recorded in the ledgers.
