Overview
THE COMPANY: The Floow is a rapidly growing telematics service provider that develops smartphone apps for insurers, to collect driving data and deliver services to insurers and their customers. We specialise in using data from smartphones and fixed to vehicle devices to support motor insurers pricing decisions. Data analysis is also used to provide driving feedback and educational tips to drivers across a range of factors including speed, hard braking and acceleration and distraction. The company currently works with major UK and global insurers, and has a number of other discussions on-going in new markets. THE ROLE: You’ll be testing state of-the-art apps, web applications and software within an exciting emerging industry. You will be responsible for the ongoing development and improvement of a range of applications designed by us to meet the requirements of the Company’s clients. You will be passionate about testing and have a strong technical background. Our Test Team has an increasing integral role in the SDLC, with an involvement in the life-cycle from development stage. The whole development team is accountable for quality and to ensure all their projects meet the highest standard, therefore it is integral the test team is involved throughout the SDLC. RESPONSIBILITIES: Working closely with internal stakeholders including architects, developers, designers and product managers, customer services Working on cutting-edge, innovative products, in an entrepreneurial environment Collaborating with developers in a close-knit, fun environment SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in Automation Testing Experience with test driven (TDD) or behaviour driven development (BDD) practices Experience in defining test strategy/approach, test cases Experience of working with a variety of business personnel, developers and management Experience developing testing artefacts, such as test plans, test cases and mind maps Experience with automation tools such as Selenium Experience working in an Agile environment Agile, ISEB or ISTQB Software Test certification would be at an advantage but are not essential requirements.
