Lead Android Developer (Front End) Permanent | Solihull, West Midlands | Up to £65,000 per annum Logix 2 are recruiting for an experienced Lead Android Developer to join our exciting client based in Solihull, West Midlands. The successful candidate will come from a strong technical background whilst being able to translate technical knowledge into functional when needed. The Lead Developer will be involved in the hiring process for their newly founded team of Android Developers whose aim will be to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Key Responsibilities Lead a small team in designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability Bug fixing and improving application performance Maintaining and developing any features needed on the main app Helping others to develop their skills or knowledge Key skills Proven lead or management experience whilst also being hands on Ability to translate technical information into non-technical information Ability to work closely & collaborate with other app development and technical teams to produce world class innovative products Experience with writing world class code Previous experience designing and building advanced applications for the Android platform Strong technical skills such as Swift, Java, Kotlin , Android SDK etc Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON Experience of CI/CD tools and working practices Experience with 3 rd party libraries and APIs Working knowledge of general mobile landscape, trends, architectures and emerging technologies Strong understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle Must have published at least one original Android app Experience working in an Agile environment Permanent | Solihull, West Midlands | Up to £65,000 per annum This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89872077
