Job Description We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker who is passionate about supporting people with a learning disability, to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible in our service in Burgess Hill. This is a part time, permanent position for 20 hours a week. Our Supported Living service is home to five people aged between early 20's and mid 40's. The people at the service require support with independent living skills such as meal preparation, domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry, medication, finances, shopping and assisting to appointments. There is no moving and handling and minimal personal care support needed. All the people we support have many hobbies and interests and are active within their community so there will be lots of fun activities for you to get involved with There are various shift patterns at the service and we will require you to be flexible. On weekdays, shifts include 07.00 - 09.00 or 10.00 and 15.00 - 21.00 or 15.30 - 22.00 and sleep in's, this is because the people at the service go to work, college or the day centres. On weekends, we support 24/7 so there are a range of shifts between 07.00 - 22.00 and sleep in's. If you are looking for a challenging but rewarding role, please apply today.
