Job title: Family Support Worker - Young People Team: Early Help Salary: JNC £20,865 - £22,558 per annum Contract: Fixed-term until 31st March 2021 Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Burgess Hill Closing date: 11th March 2020 Interview date: 16th March 2020 We are looking for a Family Support Worker - Young People, to join us and work within our local hub system to deliver high level, intensive support to families who have complex needs. The role of the Family Support Worker is to deliver direct support to families to develop resilience, parenting and life skills, and self-confidence with a view to managing the health needs in a family as effectively as possible. As part of a specialist team you will undertake direct one to one support with young people and their families. As a Family Support Worker - Young People, you will provide targeted and supported help to young people and their families through regular intervention using a Whole Family approach, and will work closely with partner agencies to effect and sustain positive change for the family, individual members and the community around them. You will have experience of working with children, young people and their families, along with knowledge of current issues relating to young people, and developments within youth work. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, 5 year referencing & occupational health-check.
