Residential Child Support Worker, Burgess Hill/Hassocks Residential Child Support Worker, Burgess Hill/Hassocks Your new company Hay's are currently working with a well-established child home organisation. They recognise the importance of investing in and retaining quality support workers and offer high quality training, with frequent support as well as a specialist independent consultation. This organisation provides high quality care and substitute parenting for children experiencing a range of behavioural or emotional difficulties. This job can go temporary to permanent. Your new role You will need to ensure that the children's needs are recognised and met therefore you will need to exercise responsible control over the children to ensure their safety and wellbeing. You'll participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the young people's care needs and ensure that the home meets the needs of the individual and needs of the group. In accordance with the plans for the day, you'll organise and supervise recreational and leisure activities both in and out of the home to provide the children with an interesting and stimulating life. You may be required to drive the children to school and activities. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will ideally need a NVQ level 3, and have some experience of a residential setting. It is essential that you are a driver and that you have at least 6 months recent experience within the last two years.
