The Disabilities Trust is hiring! The Disabilities Trust, a leading national charity providing care, support and rehabilitation to people with disabilities is recruiting a Research and Support Officer to join our Foundation team in our head office in Burgess Hill. Please note that due to Coronavirus, our office roles are now operating from home. This post would involve homeworking for an initial period of time until the government issue further guidance and the Trust deem it is safe for us to return to the office. Face to face support (adhering to social distancing) will be provided to complete your induction and remote support will be provided throughout the office closure. About Us: The Disabilities Trust is a leading national charity, providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities as well as children and adults with autism. The Foundation is an exciting division of The Disabilities Trust, which, thorough its project work is designed to initiate and enhance good practice and to direct or influence Government policy within The Trust's areas of expertise - brain injury, learning disability, autism and physical disability. The Foundation also leads the policy and influencing workstream across the organisation, seeking to engage and inform debate. About the role: As a Research and Support Officer, you will provide efficient administration support for the Foundations. You will assist in collecting and analysing measurement data from Foundation programmes and support ongoing and new projects. This is an ideal role for someone who has experience in a face paced administrative environment, has experience producing research and service reports, and has experience of statistical analysis. Main duties will include: * Undertake analysis of statistical data and produce draft reports * Create and maintain databases on Excel * Provide administrative and research support for the different Foundation programmes, including the creation of information material * Schedule, coordinate and minute team meetings, including coordinating visits to project sites -Manage, plan and book travel arrangements as required by Foundation team members * Support the Foundation team, with any other duties as required Skills/Experience required: * Understanding of research methods and statistical analysis * Experience of statistical analysis * Experience of working effectively under timing constraints again a wide range of projects * Experience of working in a fast-past administrative capacity * Good time management * Ability to prioritise own workload Hours 28 Hours a week Benefits include: * A competitive salary of 18,400 (pro rata) per annum * 33 days holiday including bank holidays (pro-rata) * Group Life assurance * Employer pension contribution * Eye voucher scheme * Long service and staff awards * Nationwide staff benefits such as Perk Box and discounted gym membership.
