Quality Assurance Technician
Overview
Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our client, a food manufacturing company based in Knowsley Liverpool. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the purpose of the role is to ensure effective inspection, collection and testing of the product from production and finished goods are in line with customer specification. Duties of the role include: Follow appropriate test methods to ensure that the product and finished goods conform to the customer specification. Regular audits of the production lines to ensure that the product and process specifications are being met. Attending production lines to carry out physical product and smell checks. Responding to metal detector failures. Liaising with internal departments when the results of an inspection are out of specification and the product has been rejected in order to minimise production down time. Calibration of weight and test equipment. Completion of accurate records both manual and computerised. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar quality role working within a manufacturing environment.
