Overview
Prison Nurse - Band 5 RMN Hays Healthcare are currently working with a leading private organisation to recruit experienced Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses to join them on a full-time basis in Norwich. The post holder will be required to work within the multidisciplinary team, contributing to team management and the development of innovative practice. To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of holistic care packages. The role will be based in a local prison however, previous experience within the prison service is not essential. Responsibilities of the role includes; Undertake all aspects of medicines management related activities in accordance with Virgin Care's medicines policy to ensure the safe, legal and appropriate use of medicines. Attend appropriate training and maintain competencies in all relevant areas. To treat all prisoners/patients as individuals, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times. To assess individual care needs, implement and evaluate holistic programmes of care. To be aware and act upon, when necessary procedures that are in place to protect vulnerable individuals. Undertake all aspects of medicines management related activities in accordance with the companies medicines policy to ensure the safe, legal and appropriate use of medicines. Attend appropriate training and maintain competencies in all relevant areas To be considered for this role; you must have a valid NMC registration and / or an RGN1 qualification.
