Overview

We have some exciting new vacancies for Pharmacy Technician's based within HMP, at the Prison Services across Norfolk, there are 3 sites scattered across the county. You can work at any site, so you'll have the flexibility to make the commute as manageable as possible for you. They have parking available on site at all branches for staff members, and the central sites are easily accessible by public transport, both train and bus stations are around 20 minutes' walk from the main Norwich site. The prisons are Category C housing an all-male population. This a great opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to expand their CPD and skill set within a new and exciting environment. There are tons of training opportunities for specialised duties such as POD/SAMPOD, CD work etc. and for patient counselling. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your management experience and mentor some of the more junior team members They have both part-time and full-time hours available with flexible start and finish times, you'll be earning a starting salary of £20,000-£24,000 (FTE) which is a Band 4 on Agenda for Change, having NHS pension contributions and 5 weeks of annual leave bank holidays off (or added into your total holiday pot if you opt to work on a bank holiday). To be successful, it is essential that you are a member of General Pharmaceutical Council and ideally you will have an NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy (or equivalent) or be working towards this.
