Overview
Smart Infrastructure Technology Engineer / Consultant - construction and transport technology - Crawley / Sussex area - design and lead the delivery of projects to drive and integrate new and emerging technology in the transport industry This is a commercially minded, customer facing role focusing on how technology can impact across all aspects and the lifecycle of a project or programme of work. You'll be solving a range of challenges from reducing costs to ensuring safety to making better decisions based on data analysis. The role will mix consultancy & design with the leading of the delivery phase on projects, at all times being client focused and managing senior stakeholder relationships. You'll also contribute to the technical roadmap, highlighting advances and new tools leading to new solutions or smarter, quicker, better processes. A degree in Engineering or Technology is of benefit and any formal project management certification (APM / Prince) would be desirable but you can't beat some experience in this emerging sector so applicants will ideally have experience of driving solutions and delivering projects across a range of the following - Real Time Data driven decision making 'The connected world' and Internet of Things (IoT) Pop up IT infrastructure / networks and leveraging cloud technology Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR / VR) technologies Process Automation, AI and Machine Learning Although based from Sussex / London a lot of the time, UK travel will be a big part of this role so applicants should be prepared for some stays away from home as part of delivering projects across the UK. In return a salary of up to £60k (possibly flexible depending on experience) is on offer with a good benefits package. A big aspect of this role will be shaping the technical landscape of construction and engineering in this new and rapidly changing world.
