Supplier Relationship Manager

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Supplier Relationship Manager, to be responsible for driving the strategic activities of business-critical suppliers. Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Relationship Manager; Primary interface to the key business-critical suppliers. Business continuity of supply of components, systems, services & processes. Ensure that the relationship with suppliers and commercial strategies for product development, program office, and product supply are met. Ensure all contractual commitments, statements of work, RFQ's and appendices are current and applicable. Establish and maintain a governance model within the business line and interfaces into key business critical suppliers. Work closely with stakeholders to develop strategies for process and commercial activities. Drive lower cost of supply and cost of ownership. Support excellence projects in reducing time to customer, and cost, time and quality improvements. Personal Specification of the Supplier Relationship Manager; Proven Strategic Procurement experience. Degree qualified or equivalent. CIPS qualification or studying towards preferred but not essential. Procurement experience within a Highly Regulated Manufacturing environment. Excellent communication & negotiation skills Strong commercial acumen. Able to work under pressure and to set deadlines. Flexibility to travel regularly as required. This role would also suit you if you have held a role as a Commodity Manager, Category Manager, Supplier Manager, Strategic Buyer.
