Overview

Highly sought after London based company have a new requirement for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their dynamic, buzzing and fast paced finance department. The company have been expanding rapidly and due to this require accounts receivable or accounts assistants to join on a temp to permanent basis. Job responsibilities (including but not limited to the following): Reconciliation of customer accounts and ensure accurate payment allocations Daily and month-end balance sheet reconciliations (e.g. bank accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.) Support Customer Service team with sales invoice related queries Support Credit Control team in issuing statements, payment reminders and cash collections Process payments (cheques & credit card), refunds and credits by following Company procedures Update customer accounts with correct information and ensure service contracts are set up correctly Process customer and account documents by reviewing data for deficiencies or duplications; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the managers for resolution Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting changes or improvements that may be beneficial Set up and see through direct debit collection process Skills: Experience in Accounts and Sales Ledger Understanding of accounting principles Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent interpersonal skills - to communicate effectively with customers, external contacts and staff in all areas of the business Intermediate Excel skills and Outlook Previous Sage accounting software experience preferred but not essential Ability to work with tight deadlines and able to prioritise Personal Attributes: Flexible and adaptable to changing working requirements Organised and methodical Excellent attention to detail Passion to learn and develop in their role Positive 'can do' attitude Ability to work as part of a team Confident and willing to work to a high calibre Comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment and able to multi-task
