JOB TITLE: Criminal Solicitor PQE REQUIRED: 2 years PQE LOCATION: Nottinghamshire SALARY: £30,000 (DOE) OVERVIEW : • Exciting opportunity for a qualified Criminal Solicitor to join a well-established firm in Nottinghamshire. • The appointed Criminal Duty Solicitor will handle their own caseload covering a broad range of criminal matters from minor offences to more serious offences such as rape or murder. • The role comes with a competitive salary and number of attractive benefits including additional payment for out of hours police station work, generous holiday allowance and a pension scheme. THE CRIMINAL DUTY SOLICITOR: • Experience of attending the police station in their current role is essential and ideally the successful Criminal Duty Solicitor will ideally have undertaken matters in the Magistrates Court. • Duty status would be an advantage although not essential. • The ideal Criminal Duty Solicitor should have strong advocacy skills and display clear and professional communication skills. • The successful candidate will be expected to undertake travel around the local area and attendance at the police station, there applicants should be flexible, have a driving license and access to their own transport.
