Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £55k - £60k plus car Job Elements: - ·To develop the project services strategy and ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives for this part of the business. ·To contribute to the development of new services and implement in line with the business strategy ·To develop a network of suppliers that provide services in line with the business strategy, to ensure that these suppliers are commercially viable and provide the high quality of service our customers expect. ·To ensure project services profitability in line with budget or forecast ·To create and lead a culture of "project ownership" within the team, whereby project managers are accountable and responsible for all elements of the projects they manage. ·Implementation of industry leading technology project standards and ensure a consistency of approach across the department. ·Having an acute understanding of all current projects being managed by your team, this understanding would include, progress, issues, billing and deadlines. ·Defining process and standards of documentation, in line with company and agreed industry standards ·Develop a culture of ITIL operating standards within the parameters of the project objectives. ·Responsible for directing and controlling all areas of project services and employees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standard. The ideal candidate will have: ·Similar experience gained within the Electronics or IT industry ·High levels of computer literacy skills ·Qualified to degree level or NVQ level 3 or 4 Management - or appropriate business/management qualification ·Prince 2 or equivalent project management qualification or qualified by project management experience ·Proven manager with experience in managing/leading teams at senior level in a project management environment ·Financial acumen and able to analyse & manage departmental budget ·Experience in reflective practices and able to implement and maintain continuous improvement systems ·Enthusiastic, 'can do’ attitude to problem solving ·Logical & methodical approach, can make decision on own judgement ·Be able to remain calm under pressure and cope with an environmental change ·Flexible to work out of hours and respond to short notice situations ·Willing to travel to meet the needs of the business Petrie Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
