Salary: 38,000.00 per annum Start date: April 2020 with the Centre due to launch in September 2020. JOB OVERVIEW At Study Group we?re very excited about the forthcoming launch of our International Study Centre at Cardiff University. A member of the prestigious Russell Group, Cardiff University is renowned for its innovation and research and is located in a beautiful and thriving city. Within the first few months you will be excited to work with a small team to finalise the Centre set-up, including the recruitment and on-boarding of key Student Experience and Welfare staff; the creation of local operating procedures; the planning of staff and student induction and the creation of the timetable. As part of the senior management team, this is a fantastic opportunity to provide operational leadership for the Professional Services functions as you create and implement the processes that will drive the day to day running of the centre. You will lead a highly effective department, which includes professional services, student services and welfare support staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Professional Services staff and ensuring that services to students work in harmony with academic delivery. Reporting to the Head of Centre, you will work closely with senior colleagues within and outside of the Centre and be accountable for the delivery of exceptional service provision. Critically you will need to carefully balance the requirements of the Centre alongside the need for consistency and collaboration with the University and Study Group as a whole. In this role you will also ensure first-rate compliance in visa and attendance systems; and participate in key quality assurance and enhancement activities which should be delivered according to Study Group, University partner and any relevant regulatory body requirements. Build professional relationships within the network of ISCs, the University partnership, and across the business? enabling central functions to promote the Centre and build its success. EXPERIENCE + Bachelor degree or equivalent + Administration or management training or qualification + You will have recent successful line management experience in an academic service discipline and have the ability to successfully engage in process development. + Experience of managing staff in an office environment. + Experience of data management and interpretation, and quality assurance. + Experience of providing advice, guidance or student support in the context of education or training. + Experience of developing or delivering initiatives with a strong customer service and results-focused.
