Overview
A property group based in London who delivers stylish, high-end residential developments is looking for an experienced furniture designer to join their team. The company offers services covering design, manufacturing, project management and property management. The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in furniture and joinery design, particularly for woodwork. They must also have strong skills within Solidworks. The role will include the preparation of drawings for the manufacturing process, materials quantification, preparation schedules of quantities and creating a Bill of Materials (BOMs) for each project. Key skills to have are: Strong skills in Solidworks and have been using this on live projects Drawing and revision control, with excellent sketching and communication skills Solving creative and technical problems both internally and with external clients Ability to design for core wood shop machinery, including designing parts for 3 & 5 axis CNC machining Self-motivated and able to work to proactively support the work of the group's Lead Architect and Senior Technical Designer This is an immediate start.
