Marketing and Events Executive Position NextIn Media are an industry leading events company based out of Bristol. We organize conferences, exhibitions and networking events. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Marketing and Events Executive to join our experienced team. This permanent position is well suited to an enthusiastic, highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate should be an all-rounder with the ability to work on multiple tasks using multiple skill sets. Candidates must be proactive, confident and well organized. Responsibilities Working alongside the marketing team, the candidate will liaise with event partners, identifying and inviting attendees and provide support to registered delegates. In an operational role, the candidate will liaise directly with all logistics suppliers and venues, coordinating the delivery of each event. Supporting the conference team, the candidate will work with event speakers to promote their presence at events and ensure the logistics behind their participation is organized fully. The candidate will also assist the sales team to ensure we excel in the delivery of all event sponsorships and that audiences they want to meet are present. Tasks will include: Researching and identifying relevant, qualified potential attendees on behalf of clients Engaging with potential marketing partners to help promote the show Contributing to the social media campaigns behind each event Updating the event websites with text and images Inviting target attendees to meet with clients onsite and making introductions where necessary Regular communication with clients on the telephone, via e-mail and at face-to-face meetings where required Provision of excellent customer service using a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving Liaising with event venues from initial choice through to delivery on the day Working with event suppliers to ensure events are produced on budget to high, exacting standards Keeping the event project budget up-to-date Assisting in the management of each event website including adding logos, text and branding Working with the conference team to ensure the website agenda and speaker pages are up-to-date Ensuring all aspects of a client’s package are being delivered Liaising with clients to manage their presence at each event including logistics, speaker presence, branding, marketing, key deadlines, target audiences and other key deliverables Contributing to the promotion of a client’s presence at events and championing their position Developing relationships with key industry clients to encourage commitment and repeat business Travel to events to manage the onsite experience of attendees and clients Ideal candidate profile: Excellent interpersonal, written and face-to-face meeting skills Ability to work calmly under pressure with great attention to detail Excellent IT skills Ability to provide excellent customer service Enthusiastic team player Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills Creativity - developing and proposing solutions to queries Negotiating with and managing supplier relationships A fast learner with the ability to think on their feet Knowledge of social media especially LinkedIn and Twitter Photoshop or other image editing software knowledge would be beneficial Willingness to travel and attend events A level of flexibility to accommodate the right candidate for the business.
