Overview
Our exclusive client based in Blackburn, are currently recruiting for an experienced payroll clerk to join their busy team. The business has expanded rapidly over the past few years and has also had a new system implemented which has increased the workload within the department meaning they now need an extra person in the team. Duties include: Maintain, administer and check the time and attendance system Prepare accurate payroll data for the payroll bureau Set up new starters and leavers onto the system Check weekly clock cards on the system for all employees Raise and resolve any queries to department heads Prepare bonus information, variation of terms, expenses and petty cash Prepare all relevant payroll data for the bureau and deal with any queries For this role, you need to be accurate, be able to work to tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills. Ideally you will have worked in a payroll department, though the company will consider someone with less experience that they will train.
