Overview

An exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant has just become available in Birmingham. Reporting directly to the Finance Director you will be responsible for all round transaction duties for the business. Working within a small, dynamic team this is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and career in finance. Key Responsibilities of Accountants Assistant: Matching, batching and coding supplier invoices and obtaining authorisation whilst adhering to procedures Verifying head lease invoices back to the database and where variances are found, investigating and seeking approval Liaising with suppliers and landlords to assist with resolution of supplier queries Support Corporate Accountants with the monthly and quarterly financial reporting Updating compliance reports relevant to the team and clients To Liaise and work with the Credit Control team to ensure prompt debt collection and management of arrears Adhering to RICs guidelines Prepping documentation for payments and liaising with Cashiers and Treasury compliance on all banking related issues such as transfers to client, month end updates and Bank reconciliations Respond to and liaise with PMA Helpdesk to resolve general tenant queries Adhere to the PMA quarterly timetable for key processes and operations Liaise and work with the surveyors with the day to day queries Full awareness of the documented processes and procedures relevant to the role Processing of database updates to lease, tenant and landlord records The successful candidate will have the following: Accuracy and attention to detail with a proactive approach Experience of working to tight deadlines Strong analytical skills Ability to listen to the stakeholder's request, interpret and provide a resolution Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritize accordingly If you are interested, please apply directly for this role or feel free to contact Walters People for more information.
