Overview

You will be responsible for providing a specialist clinical pharmacy service to the prison, ensuring high quality, safe, effective, legal and accurate use of medicines. You will also have key responsibility of supporting and supervising the pharmacy technicians also working at HMP Wealstun. The main focus of the work will be to provide a dispensary and wing based clinical pharmacy service and work with the Lead Pharmacist on providing medicines management support to a number of different wings. The ability to work in a highly stressful and pressurised environment is key. What we need from you? You will be a qualified Registered Pharmacist- BSc or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, holding registration with the general Pharmaceutical Council. You will have a real passion for developing your own Pharmaceutical skills and those of your team. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourages new ideas. If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you Further Information This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. The salary range for this role is up to £45,000 per annum - depending on experience.
