Overview
A new vacancy has arisen in Leeds for a Property & Casualty Underwriter. Responsibilities will include the servicing and retention of profitable Property and Casualty accounts, referring upwards when appropriate. Developing broker relationships will also form part of the role, including face to face liaison. Candidates must have experience in underwriting both property and casualty commercial insurance and excellent relationship management skills. The role requires good numerical and verbal reasoning skills, excellent verbal influencing and trading skills and an understanding of the general insurance market. Key competencies sought will include a positive enthusiastic attitude, self-motivation and focus, achievement orientation, decision making ability, strong people skills and being a confident negotiator. Candidates must have achieved or be working towards the ACII.
