Overview
Desktop Support Analyst x 2 Southampton Hampshire Contract 4 - 9 months These roles are offered on PAYE basis: £250 - £280 p/d. We have been retained on an exclusive basis to recruit 2 individuals to assist in supporting users deskside with desktop support for a large infrastructure transformation programme (Windows 7 migration to Windows 10 / MsOffice 365). Your role will be to provide level 1 support to business users during & post migration under from Windows 7 to Windows 10 / Office 365. Providing floor-walking deskside IT support services to triage user issues, to educate & resolve problems or escalate to the next support level. Skills needed: Desktop support experience Competent in Microsoft Windows 10 Competent in MS Office 365 Experience in first line support for Microsoft Wintel environments. Experience of migration / upgrade / deployment projects really helpful. End User pre and post deployment support. Experience supporting non-technical users Other duties will include: Review & understanding of project support Windows 10 / MsOffice365 documentation. Assessment of user requirements Raise support tickets. Updating of deployment records / documentation. These roles are based in Central Southampton walkable from Southampton train station. Project duration is anticipated to be 9 months, but possibility of work moving to other locations after month 4. First 4 months in Southampton. This role may suit individuals who have held the following roles: Desktop Support Engineer, FloorWalker, ServiceDesk Analyst, IT Support Analyst, IT Support Engineer, 1st line support, 1st/2nd line support.
