Overview
Lead Business Analyst in Bristol We are looking for a Lead Business Analyst to join a really interesting company in Bristol about to embark on a major digital transformation over the next few years. The role will be the lead role in the team and take responsibility for 2 other business analysts. The main purpose of the role is to seek out, develop, and help implement innovative solutions in an ever-changing digital landscape in order to improve efficiency and productivity. Acting as the interface between business needs and technical solutions helping to capture business requirements and translating these into operational systems and tools to effectively support the business operations and its services. We are looking for demonstrable experience in the following areas - Identification of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data As thought leader for technical business processes, the development of forward-thinking systems that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels In conjunction with Project Managers, helping to define plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels Delivery, evaluation, and communication thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development Development of user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability Effective partnering with other stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., sales, finance, security, compliance) to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams Evaluation, analysis, and communication of systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintenance of systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties Authoring and updating of internal and external documentation, and formal initiation and delivery of requirements gathering and documentation Ensure daily systems analytics are conducted to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems Development of meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, where questions and concerns from managers and executives are responded to with supporting research and recommendations We are looking for candidates with the following experience - Proficiency with SQL language and database management Proven analytical abilities Ability to translate user requirements into clear process and system specifications Experience of running functional testing against business requirements and the support of users through User Acceptance Testing Experience in data cleansing, master data definition, setup and migration processes Practical experience generating process documentation, translation to technical requirements and reports Proven experience of developing and documenting test cases and scripts BCS (previously ISEB) diploma in Business Analysis or IIBA CCBA or CBAP Keen eye for detail, capturing defects and issues and managing these through to resolution Strong working knowledge of the use and implementation of Microsoft applications Proven capabilities in project management Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions Extensive experience with data visualisation This is a great opportunity to lead an analysis team across a major transformation programme and represents a really exciting role in the Bristol market.
