Overview
An Independent Music company is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to report straight to the Finance Reporting Manager. This role is an excellent opportunity to be in charge of the full accounts payable process as well as assisting with the management accounts and working towards becoming a qualified accountant. About the Accounts Payable role Posting payment journals for all payments made and applying to invoices. Set up new suppliers and verify the company and their bank details. Ensuring suppliers are paid according to terms and that a good relationship is maintained. Processing VAT Payments and coding the payment to the correct settlement account. Intercompany netting payments. Supplier reconciliations. Bank reconciliations in multiple currencies. Month-end intercompany agreements and accruals. Producing our payment practices report. Producing purchases and payment analysis when required. Reviewing the monthly change log report. Assisting the management accountants with ad hoc projects. Making sure deferment tax payments are posted. Making sure all costs are coded correctly & posted for our special pop-up projects. Producing our monthly HODs pack. Ad hoc analysis work for internal business stakeholders. About you Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT Experience working within the media industry Experience using Microsoft Navision Able to speak to people at all levels including non- finance professionals Only Successful candidates will be contacted
