Director of Data London £120,000 - £140,000 This is an exciting new opportunity for a Head of/ Director to join a start-up tech company and make a massive impact THE COMPANY This Tech focused company are in the early start-up phase yet have excellent backing and funding so are keen to grow out their Data function. They focus on innovative smart charging so they'll be working with the most cutting edge technology and always coming up with new products and features. They are looking for Data Director to join and set up the Data function from scratch - initially managing a Data Scientist and Data Engineer but also building out a team. This is a completely Greenfield area for them so you'll have the chance to make a huge impact across Customer Analytics, Data Science and Data Engineering THE ROLE As a Data Director for the business you will: You will set the strategy and outline the roadmap for the entire Data function and outline what you want it to achieve You will manage the Data Engineer and Data Scientist - advising them on the technical work and strategy You will look to build out the team as the business grows and the data function capabilities improve You will work closely with the CEO and COO of the business to help it grow and establish best practice for Data SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Excellent experience growing a Data function - setting the strategy, roadmap and hiring a team An excellent understanding and experience of Data Engineering or Data Science principles (ML engineering) Strong team management experience Experience working in a start-up environment SALARY AND BENEFITS Basic salary £120,000 - £140,000 Equity and benefits HOW TO APPLY Please register your interest for this role by sending your CV to Rosie O'Callaghan via the apply link on this page
