Please note that this is an Entry Level Merchandising role Purpose of Role e.g. The role in a nutshell · To maximise stores product performance through effective allocating, replenishment and regrouping Key Accountabilities e.g. what will you be responsible for day to day? Responsible for: 1. Managing store areas through sales analysis and branch visits 2. Managing department category life-cycle once delivered into the business Stock Management · Review initial store allocations via Retalon and ensure the suggested results are adequate in terms of quantity and sizing · Identify any necessary distribution amendments and ensure they are communicated to all necessary parties · Ensure product forecast takes into account any promotional activity or peak trading weeks · Gain a thorough working knowledge of Replenishment and Allocation modules. · Be aware of the merchandising critical path for your categories in respect of intake, phasing and markdown · Attend weekly Intake meeting and highlight over / under performing products, suggest what action should be taken · Oversee consolidation of stock at end of product life cycle Store Management · Build rapport with allocated Area Managers and Store Managers · Analyse performance at brand level in key stores and take responsibility in ensuring stocks are sufficient to maintain sales · Discuss future range plans with Area Managers · Action any store stock requests including Customer Specials in a timely manner · Take ownership of store areas through sales analysis and store visits Key Competencies e.g. what knowledge, skills and experience will you have? · Adopts a “can do” attitude and willingness to learn · Builds a working relationship with both Product Teams and Retail Ops · Excel – intermediate level preferred · Highly numerate and analytical · Excellent communication skills · Higher education qualifications or equivalent merchandising qualification
