As a multi-award winning company, Ground Control now holds 33 BALI National Landscape Awards for a range of Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance projects, a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation, and a total of 9 RoSPA Gold Awards for Occupational Health & Safety. Due to maternity leave, we are seeking a meticulous and ambitious individual to provide robust support to the Procurement team as a Procurement Assistant on an initial 9 month fixed term contract month fixed term contract. Working as part of our Head office Procurement team, you will focus on developing simpler processes, problem resolution and building key stakeholder relationships. This will be demonstrated by: • Ensuring work load is prioritised to ensure that procurement operations are executed promptly. • Ensuring that materials are purchased in line with price lists and rebates. • Ensuring that purchase ledger invoices are managed in a timely manner. • Attending external events and visit supplier premises to gain further understanding of products when required. • Achieving 100% compliance with a high level of accuracy in administrative work. • Working closely with our other trading businesses, stakeholders and maintain relationships with Ground Control staff and key personnel within suppliers and clients. COMPETENCIES NEEDED: • Experience within procurement is a strong advantage but not essential. We would also consider candidates with experience within Finance • Competence organising own workload, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines • A pro-active and positive attitude • Knowledge of the organisation, our Values and Core Purpose • Passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectation • A good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word Through our absolute focus on customer service and outstanding delivery, we are the most respected company in our chosen field.
