Overview

Job Title: Quality & Health and Safety Coordinator Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience) Location: Burgess Hill Hours: 8am - 5pm (some flexibility possible) Benefits: 20 days annual holiday plus bank holidays Our client, a well-established and highly successful organisation are seeking a motivational and organised Quality & Health and Safety Coordinator to manage all Health & Safety requirements for the business and training programmes. As a Quality & Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for external HSE related audits and will be engaging with all employees actively promoting a 'Safe Working' culture and delivering Health & Safety Requirements. The Role overview: To lead on all Health & Safety matters ensuring that the companies Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) is effectively communicated, implemented and updated/maintained Take full responsibility for contract delivery, including all associated compliance checks Liaise with external Awarding Organisations and Certification Bodies ensuring that their requirements are met and act as the primary point of contact for all schemes Ensure that Functional Skills are effectively and consistently delivered across the business To formulate and ensure effective implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures; to include carrying out Internal Verification and monitoring of effective teaching and assessment practices Have an understanding and oversee the health, safety, environmental & associated legal requirements that are relevant to the company. Plan and implement a robust H&S management system to ensure compliant and adhering to HSE requirements. Actively oversees the routine facility safety checks across all sites. Produce and review Risk Assessments for all activities carried out on and off site. Responsible for the Internal Quality Assurance processes that maintain the integrity of programmes across so compliant with all regulatory and qualifications requirements Conduct robust and periodic self-assessment reviews and independent quality audits across offerings ensuring that Awarding / Accrediting body performance standards and contractual obligations are achieved ensuring a quality learning provision and maximizing grant incomes. The Person: Previous experience in a Health & Safety position Full UK Driving Licence essential due to occasional travel required in the role (pool car available) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Health & Safety Qualification (eg NEBOSH) - desirable Travail Employment Group is operating as an Employment Agency.
