Overview
Job Title: Accounts Assistant Reports to: Commercial Manager Primary Objective: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, Ledger Reconciliation and System Postings. Also, the role contains certain aspects of employee relations as well as providing support to the Finance Manager and other members of the BRG Appliances Team. This role would also be responsible for retail execution and training within a specified region Principle Accountabilities: Coding and posting to the system of all Accounts Payable invoices and all Accounts Receivable debit notes. Reconciling the bank accounts. Following the credit control procedures. Invoice generation and transmission via EDI Allocation of remittances Coding and posting of all sales ledger debit notes Chasing overdue debtors Produce customer statements Produce weekly debtor position Bank reconciliation. Month end balance sheet reconciliation Intercompany balance agreements Preparation of VAT returns Ad-hoc financial and office administration Posting of journals to the ledgers after consulting with the finance manager. Ad hoc projects for the wider management team. Maintain awareness of and compliance with company Quality Control / Compliance/Confidential/Intellectual Property policy. Maintain all files and records in an accurate manner to ensure ease of retrieval of information. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Although a degree education would be desired, relevant work experience is more important in this position. Essential Experience: 1 - 2 years accounts assistant experience. Well versed in Microsoft Office particularly Excel with the ability to perform VLOOKUP’s and PIVOT TABLES. Ability to communicate at all levels. Strong IT skills with the ability to analyse, absorb, reflect and respond to data information. Desirable Experience: D365 Experience desired but not essential.
