Overview

Our client within Public sector is looking for an Organizational Development (OD) Business Partner to join their OD Business Partnerships team. The role is based in Kingston and Sutton as it is part of the Shared Services paying £350/day (umbrella rate/inside IR35) offered on a 3 months initial contract basis. The client is building a strategically focused OD service, that is responsive to our internal customer needs and enables them to provide the services needed for the communities they work with. They've recently undergone a significant restructure across the service which has resulted in the creation of several exciting new roles at various levels and the opportunity to define, shape and deliver our new strategic OD focused model. The OD business partner will: Lead on organisational development projects, both Directorate and Council wide, including identification of need through to design, development and implementation. These roles essentially act as 'relationship managers' providing professional HR and OD solutions across the Councils and traded service organisations, with specific emphasis on leading and contributing to projects around workforce modernisation and productivity. Build trust and credibility with our Directors and Heads of Service, with a high level of responsiveness, understanding and focus on specific business needs and adapting your approach accordingly. Work in partnership with colleagues in the Resourcing, Talent Benefit and Reward Team, as well as being able to interpret and analyse business intelligence relating to the analysis of workforce performance data in order to inform decision making. Link with team leads to process map and improve processes to meet client needs. Also responsible for building key relationships with external customers process mapping and improving processes. Required Experience and Skills: Substantial HR & OD experience of working in a large and complex shared services environment and at strategic and operational levels. CIPD qualification is essential An OD qualification or equivalent professional knowledge gained through experience of working as an OD Specialist or as a HR Generalist with an OD focus. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with an emphasis on really 'partnering' with your customers, modelling a strong performance culture and constructively building achievement, confidence and skills in others. Experience in delivering significant business-focused OD solutions that really meet the needs of the customer and organisation, with a focus on increasing efficiency and better ways of working.
