Overview

Living Wage Renfrewshire Council supports payment of the Living Wage of £9.07 per hour as the minimum level of remuneration to its employees . Therefore, successful applicants will be paid the ‘Living Wage’ - (the Hourly Rate for the post a Living Wage Pay Supplement, in order to bring their earnings to £9.07 per hour). Based at West Primary School, Newton Street, Paisley. You will be responsible for the safety and supervision of pupils from the point of collection to drop off at school and, in this regard, act as the first point of contact with parents/carers. You will have the ability to safely board and disembark pupils from the transport bus and effectively supervise pupils during their transport to the school and at the point of drop off at the school. It is essential that you have experience of working with children, a calm and approachable manner alongside the ability to communicate effectively with pupils and parents. Experience of working with children with communication difficulties is advantageous as is previous bus escort experience. If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post.
